Artist Taylor Cameron delves into the history and rich culture of the Woodland peoples who have inhabited this territory since time immemorial. Taylor was inspired by his passion for uncovering forgotten stories and, drawing on his archaeological training, presents authentic depictions of past lifeways. His hope is to bring fragments and moments of history into contemporary spaces, forging connections to Anishinaabe ancestors and supporting the reclamation of Anishinaabe identity. About Taylor Cameron Taylor Cameron is an emerging Woodland artist from Saugeen First Nation No. 29. His paintings highlight the beauty of the natural world around us using vivid colour schemes that introduce a different perspective on animals, landscapes, and teachings. Taylor’s use of both movement and line work create balanced compositions that showcase the subject matter.
