2022 COMMITTEES OF THE SAUGEEN SHORES CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
Are you one of many talented people willing to share your expertise or interest and participate on a committee? Volunteering on a Chamber committee gives you -- or your employee -- a unique opportunity to network and promote your business. For as little as 3 hours each month, it's a great way to benefit your business, make contacts, and grow professionally. Be part of our Chamber community and get involved!
The Saugeen Shores Chamber of Commerce is a nonprofit business association governed by a volunteer board of directors. Members sit on various committees that explore and address issues of importance to the local business community. The Finance Committee is responsible to assist the Board in fulfilling its obligations and oversight responsibilities relating to financial planning, the audit process, financial reporting, the system of corporate controls and risk management. Individuals with a background in human resources, law, accounting and professional experience in nonprofit auditing and consulting would be best suited for this committee. This is a professional committee composed of between three and five members, none of whom have any direct or indirect association with each other or other directors which could, in the view of the Board, reasonably interfere with the exercise of the member's independent judgment. The Chamber's Executive Director recruits for this committee and presents quarterly reports to the board of directors.
