THE SOUTHAMPTON JAZZ CLUB PRESENTS AT THE SOUTHAMPTON GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB A NOT TO BE MISSED LIVE MUSIC EVENT…. Thursday October 24th - Doors open at 6 pm and entertainment 7pm to 9:30pm. Mouthwatering appetizers of course will be created by our in house catering team from Tim and Sarah's Catering Kitchen Cost: $25 Cash at the door. This month at Hampton Hall we are featuring one of Canada’s most sought after drummers and percussionists, the talented and award winning Mark Kelso. Mark is also a singer, producer and composer. No surprise that this talented musician has been nominated three times as a leader with his own 2 groups The Jazz Exiles and The Chronicles of Fezzwig Project, and as a sideman has earned 4 Juno awards. Mark will be joined by Andy Harasymczuk, guitar; Jack McFadden, bass; John McLelland, piano (welcome to John M); Charlie Bell, tenor sax. Highlighted during the evening will be a few of Mark's original compositions and arrangements as well as some of his fav jazz standards eg. No More Blues, Dolphin Dance, Take the Coltrane, Killer Joe etc.. a fun and lively night for sure. Hope you can join us!
