    Bookkeeper – Part-Time
     
    Position: Bookkeeper – Contract Position
    Compensation: TBD; based on experience
    Duration: Part-Time Work (approximately 20 Hours per month)
    Location:  P.R.A.N.C.E. Therapeutic Riding Center – Port Elgin, ON
    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Manages and track records of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and banking activities.
    • Preparation of monthly financial reports
    • Post and record transactions
    • Create invoices
    • Comply with government filing requirements (GST/HST and Payroll)
    • Reconcile bank account
    • Manage accounts receivable & accounts payable
    • Journalize weekly, semi-monthly and monthly remittance
    • Maintain complete filing system to support financial records
    • Prepare cheques
    • Prepare for Year-end and audit
    • Carry out other duties as assigned
    Desired Qualifications and Skills
    • Knowledge of bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles
    • Proficient in Simply Accounting and Microsoft Excel & Word
    • Excellent attention to details and accuracy
    • Excellent skills in organization, communication, information collection, and problem analysis
    • Familiarity with charities and not-for profit organizations
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    Other Information
    • Bookkeeping can be done either at our office or off-site
    • If services are to be provided off-site, the successful applicant will be required to meet with our staff a minimum of once every month.
