Bookkeeper – Part-Time
Position: Bookkeeper – Contract Position
Compensation: TBD; based on experience
Duration: Part-Time Work (approximately 20 Hours per month)
Location: P.R.A.N.C.E. Therapeutic Riding Center – Port Elgin, ON
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manages and track records of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and banking activities.
- Preparation of monthly financial reports
- Post and record transactions
- Create invoices
- Comply with government filing requirements (GST/HST and Payroll)
- Reconcile bank account
- Manage accounts receivable & accounts payable
- Journalize weekly, semi-monthly and monthly remittance
- Maintain complete filing system to support financial records
- Prepare cheques
- Prepare for Year-end and audit
- Carry out other duties as assigned
Desired Qualifications and Skills
- Knowledge of bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles
- Proficient in Simply Accounting and Microsoft Excel & Word
- Excellent attention to details and accuracy
- Excellent skills in organization, communication, information collection, and problem analysis
- Familiarity with charities and not-for profit organizations
- Strong interpersonal skills
Other Information
- Bookkeeping can be done either at our office or off-site
- If services are to be provided off-site, the successful applicant will be required to meet with our staff a minimum of once every month.
