Customer Service Representative (Part-Time during training)
Service Ontario - Port Elgin is seeking an outgoing, organized, and friendly part-time customer service representative to join our team and provide top-notch service to our customers in the Service Ontario private (local non-government owned) issuing office.
Customer Service Representative: Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain updated knowledge of relevant Service Ontario services in order to provide adequate services to customers
- Promptly respond to and resolve customer issues
- Process health card, driver's license and vehicle transactions accurately by following prescribed protocol
- Obtain necessary information from customers to adequately and efficiently process transactions
- Foster and maintain relationships with customers to improve retention rate
Customer Service Agent: Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced customer service-related role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
- Ability to foster and maintain working relationships
- Organizational skills with the ability to manage numerous priorities in a busy office environment
- Positive and service-oriented attitude.
- Ability to learn and thrive in a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure environment while maintaining a high level of customer service
- Intermediate computer skills
- Willingness to work as part of a team
- Efficient, organized and a natural problem solver
- High level of patience and ability to manage a variety of customer needs.
This position is part-time, up to 25 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm. Flexibility with your availability is required within this time frame. No weekends and holidays. Training will be provided once the successful applicant has obtained a Service Ontario security clearance.
Screening will be paid by the employer. After 3 months training, pay increase to $20 with benefit option. Ongoing remuneration with 6 month review followed with annual review.
