The 2026 Saugeen Shores - Business Achievement Awards Nomination Terms & Conditions
We encourage excellence and recognize outstanding businesses that contribute to the growth, prosperity, and well-being of Saugeen Shores. These awards celebrate organizations that demonstrate leadership, exceptional customer service, community involvement, and a commitment to business excellence.
By submitting a nomination, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions:
1. Eligibility
Nominees must operate a business located in, or primarily serving, Saugeen Shores, Ontario.
Businesses may be nominated in one or more award categories, where applicable.
Previous award recipients remain eligible for nomination unless otherwise specified by the Chamber.
2. Who Can Nominate
Nominations are open to residents, customers, employees, business owners, visitors, and community members.
Self-nominations are permitted provided all eligibility requirements are met.
Individuals may submit nominations for multiple businesses.
Multiple nominations for the same business may be received and considered during the evaluation process.
3. Nomination Requirements
All nominations must be submitted using the official nomination form.
Nominators must provide accurate and complete information.
Nominators must enter their own valid email address for verification and communication purposes. Please do not enter the email address of the business being nominated.
Nominations should include sufficient information describing why the business deserves recognition.
The Chamber reserves the right to contact nominators for clarification or additional information.
4. Selection Criteria
Award recipients will be selected by an independent and neutral committee.
The committee may consider a variety of factors, including but not limited to:
Community involvement and leadership
Customer service excellence
Business growth and innovation
Professionalism and reputation
Contributions to the local economy
Recommendations and testimonials from customers, employees, and community members
Demonstrated commitment to improving Saugeen Shores
The committee's decisions are final and not subject to appeal.
5. Verification & Disqualification
The Chamber reserves the right to verify any information provided in a nomination.
Incomplete, inaccurate, misleading, fraudulent, or duplicate nominations may be disqualified.
Businesses that do not meet eligibility requirements, will not be considered.
The Chamber reserves the right to remove any nomination that is deemed inappropriate or inconsistent with the spirit of the awards program.
6. Use of Information
By submitting a nomination:
You grant permission for the Saugeen Shores Chamber of Commerce to use information provided in the nomination for award administration purposes.
The Chamber may use nominee names, business information, nomination excerpts, photographs, logos, and related content for promotional, marketing, website, social media, press release, and event-related purposes.
The Chamber may publish the names of finalists and award recipients.
7. Privacy
Personal information collected through the nomination process will be used solely for administering the awards program and related communications.
Information will not be sold to third parties.
Information may be shared with award judges, committee members, and event organizers as necessary for administering the awards program or as required by law.
8. Timeline & Awards
Nominations must be received by the published nomination deadline to be eligible for consideration.
Following the nomination period, all submissions will be reviewed by an independent selection committee.
Award recipients will be announced and celebrated at the 2026 Saugeen Shores Business Achievement Awards event, taking place at the The Saugeen Golf Club on October 16, 2026.
Finalists and winners may be publicly recognized through Chamber communications, social media channels, website announcements, local media, and event-related promotional materials.
Additional event details, including ticket information, sponsorship opportunities, and event schedules, will be announced through the Chamber's website and official social media channels.
9. Limitation of Liability
By participating in the nomination process, nominators and nominees agree that the Saugeen Shores Chamber of Commerce, its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, sponsors, partners, and committee members shall not be liable for any claims, losses, damages, or expenses arising from participation in the awards program.
10. Changes to Terms & Conditions
The Saugeen Shores Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to amend, modify, suspend, or cancel the awards program and these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice. Any updates will be posted alongside the nomination form and will take effect immediately upon publication.

By submitting a nomination, you confirm that:
You have read and understood these Terms & Conditions.
The information provided is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
You consent to the collection and use of information as described above.
You understand that nominees must be active members in good standing of the Saugeen Shores Chamber of Commerce to be eligible for consideration and recognition.
You agree to abide by all decisions made by the selection committee and the Saugeen Shores Chamber of Commerce regarding the awards program.
